Behind the Shine
Hey there — I’m Scott Reece, owner of Premier Epoxy Designs. I’ve been living in Idaho for about 15 years now, which I think officially qualifies me to say things like “this weather’s something else” and complain about tourists like I’ve lived here forever.
Before diving into epoxy, I spent years owning and operating a logging truck. It’s tough, honest work… and by “tough,” I mean a whole lot of hours. The kind of hours where you start to forget what day it is, and the coffee starts to fear you.
Meanwhile, my wife and I have entered the grandparent stage of life — and we love it. Our kids are grown and off doing their own thing, and now the grandkids have taken over. We’ve got some already running around and more on the way, which means I’ve officially upgraded from “Dad Mode” to “Grandpa Who Fixes Things and Hands Out Snacks.”
All that time on the logging truck made me realize I wanted to be home more — to actually enjoy this part of life (and maybe sneak in a nap without feeling guilty). That’s why I started Premier Epoxy Designs. I love the craftsmanship, the transformation, and let’s be honest… it’s pretty satisfying watching a boring slab of concrete turn into something shiny enough to see your future in.
These days, I’m focused on doing high-quality work, being straightforward with people, and making sure every floor I do is something I’d be proud to show my own family — grandkid footprints and all.
